When the function is enabled, the phone will automatically accept incoming calls on speakerphone when it is idle. Press the headset key if you want them to go to the headset. The default is off.

Turning the function on (admin modus only): On the phone's web interface, Configuration Identity # page, SIP tab, Auto answer setting: click the radio button on.

If you want to be alerted acoustically by a single long beep whenever the phone accepts an incoming call, you need to change another default setting on the phones web interface from off to on:

Preferences page, Audio, Auto Answer section, Auto Answer Indication setting.
