Alcatel Lucent - Gigaset Handset Interop

See below for a list with tested features when registering a Gigaset pro handset to the Alcatel OmniPCX cordless system.

When you register a Gigaset pro handset to the Alcatel OmniPCX, you the administrator has to add the handset manually via the Alcatel web-interface. The administrator can select the GAP or GAP Enhanced feature set. When using GAP enhanced, the platform will send more display information to the handset. In the list below you can see the difference between the 2 modes.

This test is done using the software versions that are reported on this page, we have no influence on the Alcatel software development. If the platform changes the software and the feature set of the DECT GAP support then it can be that additional or less functionality is possible.

DECT GAP protocol is a DECT standard and has a limited feature set, this causes that some functionality is not possible.

Start the registration procedure on the Gigaset DECT handset and enter the PIN "0000" if requested. The Administrator can decide during the Registration procedure to chose for the GAP or GAP enhanced mode.
