Fusion can be connected to many external providers directly, but also be connected behind an existing Fritzbox

titleSetup in Fritzbox (7490)
  1. Open the Web-interface of the Fritzbox and go to Telephony → Telephony Devices


    Click then on 'Configure New Device'.

  2. Select here the first available option and press 'Next'


  3. Select now 'LAN/Wi-Fi (IP telephone), enter a name for the telephone and press 'Next'.


  4. Configure now a secure username and password. The password need to follow some rules and at least needs to be 'good' to be accepted by the system. Then press 'Next'.


  5. Select now the external phonenumber this device should use for outgoing external communication. Then press 'Next'.


  6. Now select which of the phonenumbers should be used for incoming calls. Then press 'Next'.


  7. The summary will inform you about your configuration. Please press 'Apply'.


  8. For security reasons you need now to press either a button on the Fritzbox or dial a number via a connected phone, in order to apply the new account to the settings.


  9. After confirmation, you are done on the Fritzbox and you can continue in the Fusion device.

  1. Open the Web-interface of the Fusion and go to Telephony → Connections and press 'Add'.


  2. In the wizard select 'Automatic configuration' and press 'Next'.
  3. Select Germany as Country and 'Fritz!Box' as provider. The according profile will be downloaded when you press 'Next'.
  4. Enter now a Connection name, the previously defined username and the password. Then press 'Next'.


  5. Enter now the external phonenumber the Fusion is going to use. Should be same as in Fritzbox stepNo.5. Then press 'Next'.

  6. The summary will show you the previous configured settings and the line-status. It may happen, that it will take a couple of seconds that the status is 'registered'.

  7. The status of the connection will be updated automatically if the line can be registered at the provider/Fritzbox.
