In Alarm and PNG monitoring mode: Do not remove the battery pack! Removal of the battery pack will result in a technical alarm being triggered by the Alarm server (If supported by the Alarm server).

The handset can send an optional keepalive to the server, if the server does not see the keepalive (No battery power)  it can respond by triggering an alarm.
