titleN870 provisioning

We have a running 3CX system with configured users and you have added the provisioning template like described here: FAQ 3CX - Auto-provisioning templates

In this example we use IPUI provisioning. As the 3CX system has no Field to enter the IPUI, we used the 3CX Extensions - Edit - Authentication - ID for the DECT handset IPUI number.

Replace the ID with the Handset IPUI number.

  • In the 3CX web-interface go to: FXS/DECT and add an FXS/DECT device.
  • Select the Gigaset N870 and add the MAC address of the N870.
  • Enter name for Device: Give it an unique name.
  • Provisioning Method (depends on the installed 3CX PBX, different settings will be set via provisioning):
  • Local LAN (in the office)
  • MAC Address: The MAC address of the N870
  • Extensions: Assign up to 250 extensions to this device.

Gigaset settings:

In the web-interface go to: Settings - System - Provisioning and configuration

Copy the Provisioning link from the 3CX web-interface into the N870 Provisioning server URL, press Set and click on Start auto configuration.

The device is configured via provisioning. (You will get error message but you can discard this. The error message comes because you send empty settings for handsets that are not used.)

Register the handsets manually to the N870.

When you make changes on the 3CX platform, the platform will not send a SIP notify to trigger provisioning. You need to start provisioning on the N870 via:

  • Web-interface
  • Wait when the device connects during the night
