Usage: Force 3rd Party apps in Landscape mode

Tested: Maxwell 10 Lollipop 2.2.129

You can control screen orientation from notification area easily.
You also can prevent the other application from changing screen orientation.
The following rotation modes are available.

- Auto Rotation: screen orientation is determined by a physical orientation sensor.
- Portrait: the screen is in a portrait orientation.
- Portrait (Reverse): the screen is in a portrait orientation; the opposite direction from normal portrait.
- Portrait (Sensor): the screen is in a portrait orientation, but the sensor is used to change direction.
- Landscape: the screen is in a landscape orientation.
- Landscape (Reverse): the screen is in a landscape orientation; the opposite direction from normal landscape.
- Landscape (Sensor): the screen is in a landscape orientation, but the sensor is used to change direction.

Gigaset prefers this app because:

  • Works with Maxwell 10
  • After reboot, app is started and landscape mode is activated automatically.

Because this is 3rd party app, there is no support from Gigaset. Also other app's are available in the Google Play store that are doing the same.

Installation:

  1. Open Google Play store and search for "Rotation Control"
  2. Install the app.
  3. Enable:
    "Start controlling rotation"
    "Start on boot"
  4. Enable the "right"option "landscape(Sensor) Mode; the screen is in landscape orientation, but the sensor is used to change direction."
