Introduction

The Outbound caller ID defines how the Caller ID for outgoing calls is defined.

Example outgoing invite and the location of the Caller ID (highlighted)

How to change the Caller ID.

Every user sends the same outgoing number.
 

 Go to the SIP configuration, menu: Administration - Routes - SIP gateways and edit the SIP gateway.

Advanced parameters 

Add the SIP parameters fromuser like in the example below.

Value
fromuser=492111234567 

This will cause that in every outgoing call the "Main" number is send.

Every user sends his own extension number only

  1. Remove the advanced parameter "fromuser"
  2. Administration - Routes -Gateway groups, select your Gateway group.
  3. s/ ^(.*) / $1

  1. Remove the advanced parameter "fromuser"
  2. Administration - Routes -Gateway groups, select your Gateway group.
  3. s/ ^(.*) / 2111234$1
