You must start registration procedure first at base then at handset

Once the registration is complete, the handset returns to idle status. The handset's internal number is shown in the display. If not,repeat the procedure.

You can register Gigaset handsets as follows:

First prepare base for registration

Press and hold the registration button on the base for approx. 3 seconds.

Then start registration at handset

Start to register the handset as described in its user manual.

Of the S700H, for example:

• The handset is not registered to a base:
  Press the display key: Register
• The handset is already registered to a base:
  Menu → Settings → Registration → Register Handset and press OK

Internal telephony is disabled

• There is no handset in the system → A new DECT handset will be created and assigned to this handset
• There are handsets in the system with status "Registered" only → A new DECT handset will be created and assigned to this handset
• The system has a handset with status "To register" and no IPUI → This will be assigned to this handset
• The system has a handset with status "To register" and a different IPUI → A new DECT handset will be created and assigned to this handset
• The system has a handset with status "To register" and the same IPUI as the to register handset → This will be assigned to this handset

Internal telephony is enabled

• There is no handset in the system →
  • A new DECT handset will be created and get's the first available internal number
  • If a SIP account is available, it will be assigned for incoming and outgoing call
• There are handsets in the system with status "Registered" only → 
  • A new DECT handset will be created and get's the first available internal number
  • If a SIP account is available, it will be assigned for incoming and outgoing call
• The system has a handset with status "To register" and no IPUI → 
  • This will be assigned to this handset
  • If a SIP account is available, it will be assigned for incoming and outgoing call
• The system has a handset with status "To register" and a different IPUI → 
  • A new DECT handset will be created and get's the first available internal number
  • If a SIP account is available, it will be assigned for incoming and outgoing call
• The system has a handset with status "To register" and the same IPUI as the to register handset →
  • This will be assigned to this handset
  • If a SIP account is available, it will be assigned for incoming and outgoing call
