IntroductionThe Maxwell 3 has an integrated phonebook for a maximum of 100 entries. From software 2.18 the phonebook can be imported/exported via an USB plug.
- The USB plug needs to be formatted with filesystem FAT32!
- Do not use pendrive or USB hubs, only directly plugged USb plugs are recognized!

How to export the local phonebook to USB plug- Plug the USB plug into Maxwell 3's USB port, use only FAT32 filesystem
- If the USB plug has been identified, you will see an USB icon on the Maxwell 3 display in the upper right corner
- Login on Web-UI as administrator
- Go to Settings/DeskPhone/LocalPhonebook
- Use "Import/Export Phonebook from USB flash drive" → Export button
- Confirm the export with "Yes"
- Remove USB plug

The phonebook file- Plug the USB plug into your PC and open the Explorer
- Open the folder "maxwell_export"
- Use an Editor tool (e.g. Notepad++) to open the "localDirectory.xml" file
- You can edit the existing entries or add new entries up to 100.
- Save the file with the same filename "localDirectory.xml"
- The file needs to be placed into a folder called "maxwell_import"!
