To prevent the accidental or deliberate disabling of an alarm signal during an alarm, an alarm signal PIN can be set up that must be entered first in order to stop the acoustic alarm signal.

Make sure to change the default value "11111" to an individual PIN before handing over handsets.

The alarm signal PIN only applies for Alarm Mode and PNG Mode.

If the PIN function is:

  • Disabled, the alarm signal can be switched off by pressing the right softkey "Alarm Off".
  • Enabled, the acoustic alarm can be switched off by pressing the left softkey "Silent"

Procedure:

  1. Select the Additional Features icon in the main menu.
  2. Select Configuration.
  3. Enter the five-position service PIN and confirm with OK.
  4. Select one of the three operating modes.
  5. Select Alarm Signal PIN.
  6. Change the values of the following parameters:
