Introduction

The Hybird 120 GE can be configured with an alarm button function.

Due to the missing additional interface for these kind of buttons, you have to re-configure an existing FXS port for this feature.

Changing the port-type

Before you can select the FXS port in the Alarm Calls function, you have to delete the pre-configured telephone in the Terminals-section. Just go to Terminals --> Other phones --> analog and delete the FXS port which you want to use.

After deleting the entry, the port will be available for the alarm function.

Configuring the alarm-button

After deleting a pre-configured FXS-port, you can go to Applications --> Alarm Calls in order to define the previously deleted port as alarm button.

Enter here a proper Description, select the interface (port) and the internal number which should be assigned to this function.

In the advanced settings you can set up additional parameter, e.g. for an automatic playback of an audio-file. This has to be uploaded under Applications --> Voice Services.

Either you can use one of the existing users for this function or just create a new user for this alarm call function. You don’t need an additional license for this!

When the users in the Variant1 or 2 are called by the function, the name of the emergency-user will be in the display. Therefore it is recommended to use this option.

After pressing Apply you can define the targets which should be called under Variant 1 or 2.

Connecting alarm button

You have 2 different variants to connect an alarm button behind the Hybird:

  1. using the FXS-ports on the front
  2. direct cables on the ports underneath the cover. Also FXS1 and 2 are available for direct cable-connections here.

In both cases, when the pins are connected with each other, either via a short-circuit (button) or seizing the line (phone), the configured parties will be called.

The username, assigned to the alarm-function will be visible in the phone-display.
