The N870 has one hardware, the device can have the following role. Image Added

DECT Base (N870 only)

  • By default, the device is a DECT Base.
  • A DECT base has no web-interface
  • If the device is configured as DECT Manager, you can reset this device to Base via: Web-interface: Settings - System - Reboot and reset - Reset to Base only.

  • Via the Power procedure, see: FAQ N870 - Reboot and Reset to factory default

DECT Manager + DECT Base (N870 & N670)

  • Web-interface: Settings - System - Reboot and reset - Reset to DECT-Manager + Base - dynamic IP.
  • Web-interface: Settings - System - Reboot and reset - Reset to DECT-Manager + Base - keep IP.

Integrator + DECT Manager + DECT BaseBase (N870 & N670)

Integrator + DECT Manager (N870 only)

  • Web-interface:Settings - DECT Manager - Administration - Edit DECT manager - change Capacity to Medium.
  • Web-interface:Settings - Base stations - Administration - Edit Local Basestation - Activate base station to No.

DECT Manager (N870 only)

  • Configure the device as DECT Manager + DECT Base via the above procedure.
  • Connect to the virtual integrator.
  • Via the integrator switch of the DECT base:
    • Web-interface:Settings - DECT Manager - Administration - Edit DECT manager - change Capacity to Medium.
      Web-interface:Settings - Base stations - Administration - Edit Local Basestation - Activate base station to No.

Info

When changing the device role the system is reset to factory setting. This means, that existing configuration and user data will be lost.

If you change the role of a device that has been acting as Integrator, you should save the configuration previously
