Introduction

With the Area codes you can define how the device dials a number. 

When your platform supports E.164 dialing, you need to change the settings like described below. (Use Area code = For local and National calls.)

The symbol ‚+‘ is to indicate the country code. It has to be replaced with the international dialing prefix used in the caller's location. This is usually 00. ‚+‘ is supported in the GSM network only.

‘+’ is not a “GAP-keypad Code”. (according GAP “#, *, 0 – 9” Relate to the feature dialed digits (basic) [N.4] and outgoing call [N.1], NG-DECT Part 3 (CAT-iq 2.0 ) states: “For sending digits NG-DECT Part 3 inherits the rules mandated by the GAP profile)


The digits mandated for GAP are currently editable for a number to be dialed. ‘+’ is not editable.

Currently vCards received for the local directory (e.g. via Bluetooth) with a ‘+’ within a number are converted:  “00”.
