The handset detects local technical faults or keep-alive requests. These are signaled to the user. Example:

  • The handset is out of range (0-120 minutes)
  • Battery charge is too low
  • Keepalive is not answered by the server (0-120 minutes)

The user can subsequently initiate measures in order to resolve the fault.

Keepalive:

The handset will send every ... minute an keepalive message to the server where the server needs to respond, this will acknowledge that:

  • DECT connection is OK
  • Cordless system is up and running
  • LAN connection to the server is OK
  • Server is available to support the handset alarming features

When there is no answer, the user will be notified by a visual and alarm tone indication and means that his device is not monitored at this moment.

If the server starts answering the Keepalive again, the alarm message will be deleted.

If the handset is in "pause" mode, the keepalive is also paused.
