What is new?

Improvements

  • Security upgrade: We have updated our DECT system to disable support for legacy TLS versions and now support only TLS 1.2 and higher. This change has been implemented to meet increased security requirements and to align with European laws and regulations on data protection and information security. By enforcing modern encryption standards, we ensure stronger protection of data, improved resistance to known vulnerabilities, and continued compliance with applicable EU cybersecurity and data privacy regulations.

    To be CE-compliant, the TLS version is the difference between a secure, compliant product and one that exposes users to risk and may violate European law after 2025. The minimum recommendation is TLS 1.2, but TLS 1.3 is preferred for modern compliance.

    To be RED 3.3 compliant (Radio Equipment Directive, Articles 3.3 d, e, f), the TLS version is critical because it represents the "state-of-the-art" security requirement for protecting personal data, network integrity, and preventing fraud for connected devices. RED 3.3 mandates that devices sold in the EU after August 1, 2025, must have robust cybersecurity, making the use of secure protocols like TLS 1.2 (minimum) or TLS 1.3 crucial.

  • Support of new upcoming professional DECT devices
