Introduction

In the Numbering->User Settings->Parallel Ringing you configure whether, in case of incoming calls to an internal number, there shall be parallel signalling to another external number.

You can use this feature to let your mobile device/home phone(homeworking) ring at the same time as your extension in the office. When answered, you can:

Log in/out mobile extension externally

  • Dial the external number of the system as configured for external telephone access in Numbering->Call Distribution->Incoming Distribution under Assignment.

  • If external access to your system is enabled in the GUI, you will hear the special dialling tone of your system. Switch your telephone to tone dialling

  • Enter PIN2
  • You hear the positive acknowledge tone.
  • Press the * key or the # key respectively (log in / log out).
  • Dial the code 61
  • You hear the positive acknowledge tone.
  • End the call

A hold for enquiry is not allowed if the DTMF receiver cannot be switched on.


A DTMF receiver cannot be switched on, if:


• No PCM channel is linked to a direct IP-to-IP connection and an SIP provider.
• Telephone calls are not routed via the Codec G.711 on IP connections or the DMTF signalling is outband (for other Codecs DTMF recognition may not function correctly!).
