Gigaset will introduce a new Redirect and Provisioning Server, action on your side is required !!!

Dear Gigaset Professional Partner,

This email will be sent to all of our current Gigaset partners that have an account on the Gigaset redirect server.

Gigaset will switch over to a new Gigaset Redirect And Provisioning Environment (GRAPE)

When do we switch over:

  • GRAPE already supports the Desktop devices ✅
  • The fixed date to switch N610/N670/N870/Integrator to GRAPE is Monday June 16th

What does GRAPE offer?

  • Secure web-interface management login
  • Supported DECT devices: N610/N670/N870/Integrator
  • Supported Desktop: P710/P810(B)/P82x/P85x(B)W
  • Redirect service for Desktop and DECT
  • Auto-provisioning of Desktop; later this year, also for DECT
  • Initial firmware update
  • Secure encrypted device connection, using client certificate authentication
  • Secure Server API, using HAWK encryption to automatically manage your devices
  • Multiple accounts for your company
  • Multiple levels: Distributor / Reseller / (Reseller) / Customer
  • MAC address registration instead of MAC-ID
  • Device management is a planned feature

What action on your side is required?

  • Sign up online for a GRAPE user account. https://grape.gigaset.net/ to create a new Company account, this can be done today onwards
    • The first person registering your company will be assigned the role Company Admin
    • The Company Admin can invite other employees
  • API: When you are using the Redirect server API, this has to be changed to the new API
  • Migration script: Gigaset will create a Migration script that:
    • Will download your current N610/N670/N870 devices: MAC address + Redirect URL from the current redirect server
    • After the download will automatically upload the devices into GRAPE
    • You will need to enter your current redirect server and GRAPE credentials
  • On the migration date or the day before, you need to run the Migration script.

Why do we offer a Migration script?
    • The current redirect account was a single sign-in account for a company/user that had to be used by all users/API.
    • There was no registration of the user/company details.
    • In GRAPE, the company has to be registered and accounts for users and API have to be created.
    • The GRAPE authorization is done via the very secure HAWK authentication.

There is no relation between the current redirect account and the GRAPE account and we as Gigaset cannot access your login credentials. Therefore you need to use this script to migrate your devices using your credentials.

How to test:

Before the migration date, you can test the GRAPE functionality using:

GRAPE supports  the devices mentioned on this page, previous devices delivered by Gigaset Communications will be supported by the current redirect server. (These devices can also not connect to GRAPE as the high security requirements in GRAPE are not supported by devices)
